Mary Jeanne Hoover, MSW, LCSW

Mary Jeanne Hoover is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her MSW degree from the University of Pittsburgh.  She has experience with children, adolescents, adults and families in a variety of settings including community mental health, residential treatment facilities and residential treatment for mentally ill homeless women.  She serves as adjunct faculty at LaRoche College and at the University of Pittsburgh when supervising MSW students as part of her duties as therapist at the Mars Home for Youth.  Ms. Hoover is a certified facilitator in the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Treatment Curriculum and the Active Parenting Curriculum.  She has training in Group facilitation and Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Group facilitation.  Her areas of interest are depression, sexual abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault, mood disorders, anxiety, self-esteem, adolescent sexual acting out, self-injury, cognitive behavior therapy, and issues affecting older adults.
