Shelley Thacher, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker who received her MSW degree from Smith College School for Social Work and an M.Div degree from Yale Divinity School. She provides psychotherapy for individual adults and couples and has considerable experience treating a variety of issues, including mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and abuse, problems with self-esteem and body-image, relationship difficulties, and general problems in living. She also specializes in evaluation and treatment of eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive overeating. Ms. Thacher has worked as an outpatient psychotherapist in a variety of settings, including Community Mental Health, private practice, and the psychiatry department of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard teaching hospital, where she also provided clinical supervision to social work interns. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
