Light Therapy

Are you Struggling with the Winter Blues?

People who suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder, otherwise known as SAD, have a sensitivity to the lack of light in the winter.  Symptoms of SAD typically occur during the winter months and include:
Change in appetite
Weight gain
Decreased energy
Reduced sex drive
Change in sleep patterns
Reduction in quality of sleep
Avoidance of social situations
Decreased concentration
Decreased creativity
Irritability
Difficulty completing tasks

Light therapy can be helpful.  Exposure to this type of light has been found to be an effective method of treating SAD.  For more information visit PsychEducation.org. To order a light box visit our bookstore.
